Welcome to Week 10 of #WorldwideWednesdays where we’re heading to the beautiful island nations of Oceania.
If this is your first time joining Map to Magic Vacation’s #WorldwideWednesday, welcome! We’ll be recreating meals from virtually every country/region of the world that you can enjoy while doing some virtual travel.
NEXT STOP: Micronesia
When researching recipes from Micronesia and many other island nations of this region, you’ll typically find them comprising four staples: root vegetables like taro and yam, tropical fruits like coconuts and bananas, seafood, and chicken and pig.
During our virtually-based vacation to Micronesia we decided to cook up Micronesia Chicken, a simple and easy-to make yet flavorful dish.
You can find the recipes we used here: https://www.food.com/recipe/chicken-micronesia-455517
Whether you attempt a replication of this dish using the recipe we used – or try another recipe of your own choosing, we can’t wait to see it. Let us know how it goes in the comments below or post your meal to Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram with the #MapToMagicVacations and #WorldWideWednesday hashtags.
And if the weather is darky and rainy wherever you are, like it is in New York today, why not check out the videos below and pretend you’re island hopping in Oceania.
